Michigan Attorney General Investigation Closes Treatment Center

Addiction Treatment Industry Newswire
12/14/2014 –ATIN – A Michigan attorney general investigation has shut down A New Day Treatment center in Goshen, MI, located strangely on a residential street and completely without licensure as an institution, as well as its counselors also completely without proper credentials and licenses. Apparently the owner did have a license for the facility at one point, according to published reports.

Near Chicago

Goshen is located near the town of Michiana, which is right on Lake Michigan, just across the Indiana border perhaps an hour northwest of Chicago. Residents were quoted on local television as being “amazed” that city zoning officials allowed a treatment center open smack in the middle of a residential neighborhood in a house located on what is clearly residential street, bearing in mind that A New Day is a treatment center and not a sober living establishment.
