2021 Rx Drug Abuse & Heroin Summit

This year’s Rx Drug Abuse & Heroin Summit is a virtual conference scheduled for April 5 to 8. It will feature multidisciplinary experts from across the nation who will share strategies and convey what is working in substance use prevention, treatment and law enforcement. Registration for the event is open.

NAADAC Free Webinar Series

On March 24 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. EST, NAADAC will host a webinar called “Connecting the Continuum—How Prevention and Social Determinants of Health Connect.” Members of NAADAC will obtain 1.5 CEs for free, and non-members will obtain 1.5 CEs for $20. Anyone can participate in the webinar for free, and registration is open.

Secret Dance Addiction Bollywood Dance Party

Secret Dance Addiction is a group dedicated to “a healthier way to experience nightlife and dance music … no intoxicants needed.” It hosts digital dance parties each month featuring mindfulness experiences, virtual bars to create alcohol-free cocktails, and costume contests. This month’s “Bollywood Dance Party” will take place on March 20 from 8 to 10 p.m. EST and is open to all ages. You can join Secret Dance Addiction through its free or paid plans and immerse yourself in a global community of healthy and mindful nightlife.

Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil

The release of singer Demi Lovato’s new YouTube Originals docuseries, Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil, will premiere on March 23. The series explores Lovato’s issues with addiction, as she opens up about her near-fatal overdose in 2018 and her personal journey since then. The first two episodes will be released for free on Lovato’s YouTube channel on March 23, with the final two episodes premiering March 30 and April 6, respectively.

Lovato’s docuseries promises to attract a lot of eyeballs.

Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services

New York-based Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services (CARS) is a residential treatment program for men that provides clients with addiction counseling and vocational, recreational and mental health counseling to support ongoing recovery. The treatment center is currently hiring for multiple positions, including residential program director, residential clinical supervisor, primary addiction counselor, residential counselors and more.
