02/13/2015 -ATIN – RiverMend Health, an Augusta, GA- based behavioral health and addictions treatment enterprise founded recently and that has grown by a combination of acquisitions of existing enterprises as well as organically by the acquisition of properties appropriate for conversion into treatment centers, yesterday announced the appointment of a key new addition to its top executive ranks. RiverMend CEO Monica Demitor said in a press release that Jennifer Hall has been appointed as the company’s new chief financial officer, saying the company was highly pleased to have acquired the high caliber of services and experience that Ms. Hall will bring to the table.
15 Years Experience… According to the RiverMend press release, Ms. Hall brings 15 years of experience in financial management in the healthcare arena, most recently as interim CFO of Prospira PainCare, a fast growing pain management chain among whose founders and backers is Barry Karlin, the founder of CRC Health Corp. Ms. Hall was also for a time VP of finance for iHealth Technologies a healthcare analytics company that focused on payment integrity and CFO with United Healthcare of Georgia. Ms. Hall is highly educated not only in finance and business, earning her masters in business administration from Vanderbilt University but also earning undergraduate degrees and graduate degrees in biomedical engineering sciences which of course allows Ms. Hall a deeper understanding of the medical services of the healthcare companies where she has worked in the past and also in the future at while at RiverMend Health. Another Key Hire… In another announcement, this one made today, RiverMend revealed it had made another key addition to its executive ranks, appointing Elizabeth “Betsey” Edelman, as the new company’s chief legal officer with the official title of General Counsel and Compliance and Privacy Officer. Ms. Edelman has 25 years of progressively responsible positions within the corporate legal arena, mostly in the area of financial services. According to RiverMend, Ms. Edelman was most recently deputy general counsel at a working capital lender called CAN Capital and worked in the senior legal role for RBC Bank’s U.S. retail banking operations.
