In the intensely competitive market for addiction treatment center information technology services, a new entrant offering highly affordable IT is gaining traction, which should be very welcome news to treatment players looking for relief from the oppressively high costs of the top players like Sequest and Netsmart. Over the past year, Celerity has signed ten clients in three states who have a combined total of about 350 users. And now Celerity is in advanced negotiations with one of the most prestigious players on the public side of the treatment industry, New York’s Samaritan Village, which would bring about another couple of hundred users to Celerity’s user base. Even though Celerity is a small company, it will be financing the Samaritan IT purchase, which is a critical element in the new IT company’s growth strategy going forward, as it also is for another new affordable IT entrant, Valley Hope. Our clients can pay us monthly on a subscription basis, and we charge them very little, says Celerity CEO Peter Labaki, adding that this should be very good news for the myriad smaller public players who could not otherwise afford to install advanced IT systems
