University of Kansas’ Cofrin Logan Center for Addiction Research and Treatment is gearing up for its Spring 2021 Seminar Series. The series’ first installment, “Community Responsive Interventions for Addictive Behaviors: Smoking Cessation as a Use Case,” will feature Monica Webb Hooper, Ph.D., deputy director of the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities at the National Institutes of Health. The virtual event will be held Feb. 19 at 11:30 a.m. ET, and registration is open.
Collaborative Perspectives on Addiction Conference in March
This year’s annual conference Collaborative Perspectives on Addiction (CPA) is centered on the theme “Substance Use and Addictive Behaviors across the Lifespan.” The event will feature two keynote speakers and will be held virtually from March 17 to 19. Registration is available online.

Minnesota’s Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies recently welcomed Kevin Doyle, Ed.D, Ed.S, as dean of the school dedicated to training and educating treatment counselors.
