DynamiCare Health Receives Contingency Management Grant

The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) recently awarded a Fast-Track Small Business Innovation Research grant to DynamiCare Health, a company specializing in technology for substance use disorder recovery. If certain milestones are met, the company will receive as much as $2 million over the course of three years for collaborative integration of its automated contingency management program.

Financial incentives will be provided to addiction treatment specialists for integrating their program, as well as to buprenorphine prescribers for reviewing behavioral performance data of patients. Research will be conducted by DynamiCare in conjunction with partners Western Michigan University and RTI International.

NAATP National 2021

The National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP) National 2021 conference is almost upon us, scheduled for Dec. 7-9 in Denver. It’s NAATP’s 42nd annual national conference, but this one seems to be taking on particular importance. Between the long slog of the COVID-19 pandemic and record numbers of drug overdose deaths, there are many pressing matters for addiction treatment leaders to address.

“Historic moments compel us to take stock, to examine who we are, what we do and how well we do it,” says NAATP CEO Marvin Ventrell. “The NAATP National 2021 will be such a moment. Our country’s entire population, those who suffer from the disease of addiction and our addiction treatment professionals have been traumatized by an environment of illness and conflict. It is imperative that our addiction leadership come together to examine our work in this environment. Isolation and disunity feed addiction, and healthy community breeds recovery and wellness. Our objective with NAATP National 2021 is to create pathways to healthy community for both our professional workers and the patients they serve.”

It’s not too late to register for NAATP National 2021. You can do so here.
