Greenbriar Treatment Center Webinar
On Friday, Nov. 20, from 12 to 3 p.m. CST, Greenbriar Treatment Center will host a webinar, “Treating Substance Use Disorders: Five Decades of Surprises” featuring speaker William R. Miller, Ph.D. The presentation is designed to provide health professionals with an up-to-date research-based perspective on the treatment of substance use disorder (SUD). It will offer research findings and recommendations for improving the care of those with SUD. Register here.

UHS and Foundations Recovery Network Webinar
On Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 12 p.m. CST, Universal Health Services (UHS) and Foundation Recovery Network will present a webinar, “COVID-Related Stress and the Connection to Substance Use and Mental Health Issues” featuring speaker Siobhan A. Morse, MHSA, CRC, CAI, MAC, divisional director of clinical services-research/special projects in the Behavioral Health Division of UHS. The session will review data from treatment centers and present strategies to address underlying symptoms of the health challenges COVID brings to the industry. Registration is open and free.

Remote NCCAP Exam
The National Certification Commission for Addiction Professionals (NCCAP) is now offering distance proctoring for all of its national credential and endorsement exams and for state licensure. A computer with camera and audio capabilities is required to schedule your testing session with a proctor.
