Upstate New York Addiction Treatment Non-Profits to Merge

04/12/2012 – ATIN- Trinity of Chemung County, an Elmira, NY not-for-profit addiction treatment center drug rehab and alcohol rehab prevention agency, is merging with Southern Tier Addiction and Rehabilitation Services (STARS). “Bringing the two programs together will allow for more cost-effective and efficient care”, said Christopher Taylor, Trinity’s executive director. On April 1, Trinity entered into a management agreement with STARS and under the agreement, both agencies will continue to accept referrals and operate substance abuse treatment programs in their current locations. But in July, the two organizations will fully merge and operate as Trinity of Chemung County at a new location in downtown Elmira.
