Young Adults in Recovery Community Board: Paid Participation
The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)-funded JEAP Initiative is creating a community board of young adults in recovery and is actively seeking individuals ages 16 to 25 with lived experience in recovery from substance misuse. Community board involvement will consist of monthly meetings for members to give input about areas of priority for research in recovery support. Members will be compensated for their time and participation, and applications are due on Feb. 15.
Secret Dance Addiction Sweet Dreams
Secret Dance Addiction is a group dedicated to helping you “fulfill your dreams of epic dance parties, incredible natural highs + waking up to your best life every day.” It hosts digital dance parties each month featuring themed dance experiences, mindfulness, virtual bars to create alcohol-free cocktails together, and costume contests. This month’s “Sweet Dreams” will be held on Feb. 13 from 8 to 10 p.m. EST and is open to all ages. You can join Secret Dance Addiction through its free or paid plans and immerse yourself in a global community of healthy and mindful nightlife.

NAADAC will host the webinar “Rehabilitating Addiction Treatment: An Anti-Racist Recovery Approach” as part of its free webinar series on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 3 p.m. EST. The webinar will grant NAADAC members 1.5 free continuing education hours (CEs); nonmembers can pay for the 1.5 CEs. Registration is now open.
