|07/18/2014 -ATIN – Colorado’s Harmony Park Treatment Center, the operational element of affordable care non-profit Harmony Foundation, broke ground today on a big $10M new build addition to its 43-acre Rocky Mountain campus. According to published reports, Harmony CEO Dot Dorman says the new facility will allow Harmony to treat clients with a wider range of addictive disorders. This will obviate the need to refer patients out to other centers with Harmony’s new wider range of services care. The $10M new build is part a range of new facilities Harmony plans in the future for its scenic Rocky Mountain campus.
Substantial Recent Growth
Backing the big new $10M build, which will include quite a large increase in medical detox capability, is a fairly large increase in demand for Harmony services as represented by an increase in program services revenues to $8.4M for the fiscal year ended mid-year last from nearly $7.5M in such revenues in fiscal 2012. Total “functional” expenses were $8.1M versus $7.4M in the same respective years, reflecting a substantial investment by Harmony in upgrade of personnel hiring and other things needed to increase services to the nearly 650 clients serviced by Harmony in fiscal 2013.
Wide Range of Referral Sources
Harmony gets its clientele from a wide range of referral sources, with alumni referring the most with 26 percent, Internet and Social Media at 20 percent and commercial insurance at 15 percent amongst other groups like other treatment facilities, addiction docs and psychiatrists and EAP and others making up the rest.
