Press Release Follows:

Essential Learning, the largest provider of e-learning services in the behavioral health and human services industry has teamed up with leaders in the psychiatric rehabilitation and recovery field to develop new online courses designed for people who support consumers in their recovery from mental health difficulties.

The new content partnerships include the California Association of Social Rehabilitation Agencies (CASRA), the Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation at Boston University and the US Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (USPRA). Courses developed will be available, at no cost, to Essential Learning customers and can be purchased individually at www.CEQuick.com or on respective partner websites. Specialty course packages are also available through Essential Learning. Some partners will provide discounts and free courses to their members.

We also have expanded our partnership with Mary Ellen Copeland to offer additional online WRAP® courses and the web-based “Build your Own WRAP®” program, available on a subscription basis, for people to develop their own WRAP online. A Veterans’ version is available and both services include an introductory course.

“Our partnership with the leaders in the mental health recovery field will allow us to offer the behavioral health industry more in-depth, state-of-the art training related to psychiatric rehabilitation. This will be of great benefit to consumers and create greater access for providers to this needed training content,” said Lorraine Watson, Ph.D., Co-Founder and President of Essential Learning.

“We are very excited about this opportunity to expand the availability and access to recovery-focused training. We are also excited to hear that Essential Learning has partnered with Mary Ellen Copeland to bring the WRAP® Curriculum online. What a tremendous combination for mental health workforce development," said Betty Dahlquist, Executive Director of CASRA.

"It's great that our partnership will help us bring such rich content to so many," said Dr. Marianne Farkas, the Director of Training at the Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation.

Marcie Granahan, CEO of USPRA, explained that, “USPRA is excited to partner with Essential Learning in expanding access to quality psychiatric rehabilitation education and training programs. It is programs such as these that ensure individuals have access to the latest recovery
practices and, by doing so, build a proficient and more dedicated workforce within the field of psychiatric rehabilitation.”
