A National Monthly Publication Covering the Addiction Treatment Industry
Treatment Magazine covers all aspects of the addiction treatment industry, from breaking news and feature stories that highlight the institutions and personalities of addiction treatment, to business, clinical, technological and pharmacological issues, as well as legislative and government developments.
Although a sub-sector of the healthcare industry, addiction treatment has its own distinct economics. With 11,000 treatment centers, an estimated $25 billion in annual revenues and 200,000 employees, Treatment Magazine made a bet that the addiction treatment industry's was willing to support an independent trade journal.
Founded in 2004, Treatment Magazine published quarterly in 2005. Due to strong demand from advertisers and the outstanding positive response to the publication's launch from industry readers, Treatment Magazine went monthly in 2006.
Now in its fifth year of publication, Treatment Magazine has emerged as by far the most widely read publication in the addiction treatment industry, reaching 20,000 key decision makers every month. Unlike most small trade pubs - almost without exception the creatures of their advertisers - Treatment Magazine curries favor with no one and gets its readers the hard hitting, interesting facts that often annoy our advertising supporters and have cost tens of thousands of dollars in lost ad revenue. But our strategy of always serving our readers first has been an outstanding success. People actually read our magazine - a novelty for most small trade pubs, the vast majority of which sit on desks mostly unoticed - and most our readers are of the avid variety.
That delivers eyeballs advertisers, no matter how annoyed, have been unable to ignore and has made Treatment Magazine by far the larest seller of ads into the addictions industry in its history, with almost $4M in display ads sold since inception.
